Since 2016 : implementation strategy for the Observatory of Languages and fine-tuning of the ontology
The project of the Head Office of the French Language and Languages in France (DGLFLF), in collaboration with the CNRS, is particularly innovative because the data of the Observatory of Languages in France is based on bringing together open datasets from research or collaborative projects (Wikidata, Wikipedia, etc.). This strategy allows for citizens’ direct participation in the graph’s evolution, and gives mainstream visibility to the work of linguists and statisticians. The Observatory’s data are continually updated by drawing on various sources.
